Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: Earth
Event Time: 2025-04-01T17:29Z ( ACE: MAG )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
ACE: MAG
ACE: SWEPAM
DSCOVR: PLASMAG
Activity ID: 2025-04-01T17:29:00-IPS-001 (version 2)
Quality of ICME Signature: 1 (lacks some signatures)
Note: Characterized by a shock in Btotal from 7.7nT to 11.7nT, Bz initially northward. Small shock in density and temperature observed as well, solar wind speed remains unchanged around 390 km/s. May potentially be associated with the arrival of CME: 2025-03-27T04:23Z at Earth or an eruption occurring on the central-western portion of the Earth-facing disk late on 2025-03-29 that was seen in EUV imagery without a clear CME. A similar signature is observed at STEREO A at 2025-04-01T14:49Z and may be related to this arrival.
